Sewing Machine Service, Troubleshooting, and Common Adjustments

This program will take you through the main focus of sewing machine service including properly and safely removing the covers of a computerized machine, proper cleaning and lubricating procedures, and checking for any issues to prevent the need for repair. Next we’ll move into common sewing machine issues, how to diagnose them, and how to resolve them quickly. Then we’ll tackle adjustments such as feed dog height, needle position/centering, and presser foot height and alignment. We’ll wrap up with suggestions on ways to gently educate your customers to build a long, trusting relationship.

Timing Fundamentals & Adjustments

This program will give you a solid understanding of each component of timing: needle bar height and alignment, hook timing, hook/needle clearance, feed timing, and parabola. This session is a combination of learning material and hands-on experience in making each of these adjustments.
