Thank you for answering our several "calls for educators" messages. I know I have kept all of you waiting for some BIG announcements!
After all of my years and heart in the education sector of our wonderful industry (not to mention my prior role as Education Director for VDTA-SDTA), it's time to put the focus back on you! Our talented and super knowledgeable industry educators and trainers.
Announcement #1:
The Collective! This newly formed group to help industry educators and trainers connect to other industry pro's, trainers, and educators. YOUR expertise and insights mold and shape The Collective--including having a voice in the industry, access to much needed connections, to business training, to content, to everything in between. Read more below to become a founding member (FREE for founding educator members!) and get your message directly to the Retailers and Industry you know and love.
Announcement #2:
The first annual Educators Retreat first quarter 2023! We have our "Save the Date"! Along with our 2 (yes 2!!) destinations. February 19-20, 2023 in Sarasota, FL (Workshop with the AWESOME Hope Yoder--yes on lasers!) and February 21-24, 2023 in Daytona Beach, FL. We will announce more in the next couple of days. So plan to join us for some fantastic networking, fun-in-the-sun, and group sharing/learning sessions. Educators only--so this will be an "intimate" group. This is your chance to recharge YOU :)
Announcement #3:
The secret is out! We are launching a brand NEW quarterly trade magazine starting Fall 2022. Inspire.
A tall endeavor indeed! And a brand new breed of magazine--digital first, print for members. We would love your contributions (compensated of course--I hate being "paid in thread" and I do NOT expect you to be either!). Watch for direction and specifics in the coming weeks. If you have a suggestion for a regular article or topic to address (think independent retailer focus/use), please reach out to cindycummins@vdta.com.
