Grand River Rubber & Plastics Acquires
Grand River Rubber and Plastics, a 100% employee-owned lathe cut washers, tubular gaskets, and flat drive belts manufacturer in Ashtabula, Ohio, has acquired the flat belt division of Flexaust of El Paso, Texas.
Flexaust is a world leader in flexible hose and flexible ducting products. Flat belts are used by major OEM's in the floorcare industry on sweepers such as extractor units as well as upright units.
"Grand River Rubber has always seen niche markets as its best opportunity to provide value to its customers and opportunity to its employee owners. The acquisition of Flexaust's flat drive belt division is a logical next step as we continue to grow and service our valued base of customers worldwide," comments Donald Chaplin, President.
Grand River is continually researching the best combination of materials and processes to maximize field performance. Combining the best practices of Flexaust and Grand River has provided optimal performance for the belt, but also on quality, delivery, and customer service. Grand River Rubber & Plastics also utilizes advanced statistical process controls to maintain industry leading tolerances and overall dimensional quality.
