Obituary: William Lee Timms

March 5, 1928 – April 28, 2017

William Lee Timms was 89 years old when he passed away on April 28, 2017 in Kingman, AZ. William (Bill) was born March 5, 1928 in Fort Lee, New Jersey to Jessie L. and Clarence J. Timms.

He grew up in Watkins Glen, New York where his parents owned a hotel, and graduated from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan.
Bill served in the Korean War from 1950-1955. He returned to New York and owned and operated a store in Montour Falls. In 1958, he married Patricia Trader from Montour Falls, and they had four children: Jennifer, Jeffrey, Robert, and Jeanne.

In 1968, Bill sold the store and went into the real-estate business. After that, he started in the sewing industry. While travelling around the country, Bill and Patricia became enamored with the Southwest, and in 1997 bought a home in Kingman, Arizona. His wife worked for the PFAFF Sewing Machine Company for 10 years, and he decided to go into repairing sewing machines at home, which he did until he passed away.
