Designs in Machine Embroidery Acquires The Embroidery Store
Splits Publishing Arm from Embroidery Product Line
Designs in Machine Embroidery (DIME) announced that it has acquired The Embroidery Store, a distributor to the embroidery market.
"Our acquisition of The Embroidery Store complements our overall offering and allows us to provide high-quality Exquisite Threads and Stabilizers to distributors and independent retailers. This purchase grows our industry network and strengthens our current offerings to industry partners, ultimately giving their customers more choices with better pricing," said Eileen Roche, co-owner of Designs in Machine Embroidery and Editor of Designs in Machine Embroidery Magazine.
DIME will incorporate the popular Exquisite Stabilizers and Exquisite Threads from The Embroidery Store into their core line and make them available later this year under the Exquisite by DIME brand. The commercial products offered online at The Embroidery Store website will continue to be serviced and warehoused from the North Carolina location. The acquisition will create a new entity, DIME EMB LLC. All employees will be retained including former owner and founder, Bill Fenimore, who will act as President of The Embroidery Store.
The popular niche magazine, Designs in Machine Embroidery Magazine, currently published by DIME will remain under the leadership of Eileen Roche, as Editor, and Denise Holguin, as Managing Editor, but will operate as a separate company from the product side of the business.
Current Embroidery Store customers will continue to order and be serviced by the Winston-Salem
