International Vacuum Month will now be International Vacuum Month is changing to International Spring Cleaning Month for March 2012. The new twist on this event will be more descriptive for the customer so they can better understand the promotion. NEW is the Grand Prize; Gift certificate for $600. This year for the first time, the grand prize will be a gift certificate for $600 for the customer to redeem only at the dealership where the winner registered. Since it is the only place the gift certificate is valid, this will bring the customer back to the dealership to spend the $600 they won. VDTA/SDTA sponsors the Grand Prize. VDTA Member Dealers across the nation can participate in this yearly promotional event. The program is designed to increase store traffic and awareness of independent vacuum cleaner dealers. The International Spring Cleaning Month promotional kit provided to the VDTA Member Dealer contains signs, posters and the prize drawing slips. It is a turnkey program; everything is provided for the promotion. For many dealers, this month-long consumer event creates one of their best months in business. $1000’s of dollars in prizes will be given away! The consumers LOVE to win prizes. The attention getter of International Spring Cleaning Month is the merchandise prizes made available due to the generous participation of the industry manufacturers and suppliers who donate the products for the prize drawing. Dealers that promote International Spring Cleaning Month in March will collect draw prize slips from their customers that come into their store. They will then send the prize drawing slips to the National office in Des Moines between April 1 and April 15. Drawings are held in late April at the Association office in Des Moines from the door prize slips submitted. The Dealers are then notified if one of their customers wins a prize.
