International Sewing Month The association encourages its members to make use of these kits to raise community awareness of the quality products and services they offer. Each kit contains posters and banners and information about the Sewing Month prize giveaways bonus coupons. These promotions are intended to get the dealer’s community and customers involved in the Sewing Month activities. There are press releases included in the kit that should be sent to the local newspaper to gain the dealer valuable publicity in the community. This annual promotion is held each September and is a month-long event. This promotion gives independent sewing dealers the opportunity to promote their businesses and increase community awareness of their stores. The VDTA/SDTA mails promotional kits to association member dealers. These kits contain wall and window banners, signs, and hang tags, all with a central theme that changes yearly.
