VACUFLO hosts dealer open house

Top dealers honored during event

H-P Products, Inc. recently hosted VACUFLO dealers from across the country at their Ohio facility. During the VACUFLO Open House, dealers were introduced to new products and programs, educated and trained on installation and technology updates, and treated to a special banquet held at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton where H-P honored the top VACUFLO dealers for 2006.

Dealers spent their first day with Chris Slackford, H-P Products field trainer, at a North Canton residence for a Hide-A-Hose installation training. Much like the certified training course offered at both the VDTA Conference and CEDIA Expo, dealers participated in a short classroom session, and then hit the field for a hands-on training experience. At the house, dealers walked through all of the necessary steps needed to complete a successful and timely installation.

On the second day of the open house, dealers were taken on tours of the four buildings that comprise the H-P facilities. They were able to witness operations on both the floor care and tubular sides of the business as well as the research, development and testing processes. H-P Products boasts a vertically integrated manufacturing approach in that all R&D, assembly and distribution take place at the Ohio headquarters. The tour gave dealers a better understanding of product development as well as what distinguishes H-P from competitors.

That evening, dealers were honored at an awards dinner at the esteemed Pro Football Hall of Fame, located just miles from H-P headquarters. As an added bonus, Steve Perry, president of the Football Hall of Fame, addressed the group and offered them a little history about the great football shrine. Dealers toured the 81,000 square foot facility, seeing everything from the exhibition rotunda to the Hall of Fame Gallery, to Game Day Stadium, as well as the many other exhibits.

After their exploration of the Hall, dealers reconvened for the awards dinner and ceremony. Rosaire and Luc Pomererleau of RP Vacuum Magog, in Quebec, were honored with a special recognition for 43 years of VACUFLO Sales & Services. Gary’s VACUFLO from Portland, OR, was awarded with a Special Sales Excellence Award for a record 2006 sales year. A total of 84 VACUFLO dealers were honored for their sales achievements in 2006.

The Open House culminated the following day when dealers were introduced to new marketing programs VACUFLO is now offering to their dealers, as well as new product initiatives. The festivities ended with a tailgate finale dinner, and dealers were able to sit back and relax while enjoying fishing, football and barbeque.
