SDTA staff enjoys close up demo of Duetta™ 4500D

In August, the SDTA staff welcomed June Mellinger, director of education for Brother International Corporation, to the office in Des Moines, IA, where Mellinger presented a demo of the new Brother machine, the Duetta™ 4500D.

The Duetta 4500D is targeted at the discriminating consumer who desires the best in class for features, reliability and support.

The machine continues Brother International’s commitment to innovation by offering the following: rich, built-in designs and decorative stitches, dual USB ports, a custom-stitch design tool and automatic push-button threading.

Plus, exciting new features such as the back-to-beginning key, pivoting function, Automatic Height Adjuster™ (AHA) feature, extra-large quilting table and a USB mouse. The Duetta 4500D was designed, developed and engineered in Japan by sewing fanatics.

The capabilities of the Duetta 4500D are further enhancedwith the optional Premium Upgrade Package for embroidery. Embroiderers can easily turn a simple motif into a beautiful continuous border with the new 7-inch by 4-inch frame border frame ideal for successive stitching without rehooping.

Clothing, curtains, quilts and home décor items can be embellished with 28 border designs, 150 decorative sewing stitches, and appliqué creation. The customizable USB mouse pointer on the LCD can be used to adjust character spacing, separately edit patterns, and choose between two new small fonts and new Cyrillic fonts, perfect for children’s wear or monogramming.
