Racine Industries to offer HOST School Carpet Cleaning College at 2008 VDTA Show

Once again, Racine Industries will be offering a modified version of the HOST School Carpet Cleaning College for VDTA Show attendees at the 2008 VDTA Show in Las Vegas, NV. The HOST School was founded in 1978 and is one of the leading courses on carpet care in the industry. To date, more than 22,700 professionals have attended since its inception.

The course will be held on February 20, 2008, from 8 a.m. to Noon. Topics will include the following:

  • How carpet and carpet fibers are manufactured.
  • How carpet and carpet fibers respond to soiling and cleaning.
  • A discussion of how carpet soils and how soil knowledge can help you clean more effectively.
  • An overview of the various methods of carpet cleaning that are used today.
  • An introduction to the HOST Dry Carpet Cleaning System.
  • Tips and techniques for spot and spill removal.

An overview of green cleaning and indoor air quality as it relates to carpet care.

Geoff Greeley, director of marketing and training for Racine Industries, will lead the course. Greeley has been active in the carpet care industry for 31 years. He frequently publishes articles on carpet cleaning and maintenance in trade magazines, floor covering associations and trade groups.

The normal fee to participate in this course is $75 when attending in Racine, WI; however, VDTA Convention attendees can participate at no charge. Simply preregister for the HOST School by calling VDTA at 1-800-367-5651.
