Rod Crosby Retires from Tacony VacPros After 35 Years in the Vacuum Cleaner Industry

After 35 years in the vacuum cleaner industry, Rod Crosby is going to take some time to enjoy the next phase of his life. Rod started with the Blakeman's company (now VacPros) in 1974, fulfilling orders in their warehouse. That was only the beginning of Rod's career as he moved into road sales and eventually into an in-house sales position.

After all these years in the business, Rod has made many lifelong friends. During the VDTA Show this year, many of these friends stopped by to wish him well and share in the celebration. Rod considers his years with Tacony Corporation as the highlight of his career.

"They have always been great to me," said Rod, "And although I haven't met everybody in the corporate office in person, it has been such a pleasure to work with them over the years."

Rod hopes to add the Fenton office to his list of places to visit now that he is retired. His biggest goal for retirement is to spend more time with his children and grandchildren living in Massachusetts and to play more golf. He plans on stopping by from time to time to visit with his friends at VacPros. Rod's wife passed away from cancer in 1990, he has two sons and two grandsons to enjoy retirement with.
