Kaye Wood to offer Teacher Certification Classes Several new teachers recently completed a Quilting the Kaye Wood Way Teacher Certification Class held in Sun City, AZ. The new teachers, Mary Korpal, Sharon Voorhies and Dottie Witmer, will soon be setting up classes throughout the Valley of the Sun. Dottie Witmer has already scheduled several classes stressing Kaye’s original techniques at Fashion Fabrics & Bernina Southwest in Mesa, AZ. Mary Korpal and Sharon Voorhies will soon set up classes in the Sun City area. Each of the Quilting the Kaye Wood Way Certification Classes concentrates on a different study area of Kaye’s original techniques, which all eliminate the slowdown in quiltmaking and ensure accuracy. Each teacher chooses from a list of study areas, such as those listed below. Each study area includes patterns for the beginner through the more advanced. Certified Teachers can choose to teach any of the classes from within the area in which they become certified. Some of the areas and related classes: 2. Fans 3. Diamond Stars 4. Hexagons/Honeycombs 5. Log Cabin Stars 6. Fussy-Cut Diamond Shapes Certified Teachers set up their own classes at quilt shops, sewing machine dealerships, quilt guilds or neighborhood groups.
