Janome advances expert finishing power with launch of 1100D serger at VDTA/SDTA Convention

During the recent VDTA/SDTA Trade Show & Convention, Janome America, Inc. proudly unveiled the 1100D Professional Serger, the latest in a long line of advanced sewing machines that make a professional finish easier than ever to achieve. The full-featured machine once again delivers the ease-of-use synonymous with the Janome brand making the 1100D Professional an ideal addition to any sewists’ collection of creative tools.

Users can select from 10 preset stitches which will automatically set the 1100D for a variety of serging applications taking the guess work out of serging. Also including the Blanket Stitch, Stitch Information Display and an easy conversion to a rolled hem, the 1100D Professional is a very sophisticated, yet uncomplicated 4-thread serger. The machine features a Flip Needle System that permits the needle clamp to be tilted upwards to ensure easy needle placement. A unique differential feed device adjusts the stretchiness of stitching to avoid fabric puckering and can also incorporate ready-to-wear effects such as lettuce edges to add an extra dose of flare to projects.

Additional features include an adjustable cutting width dial, an EZ Upper Knife Release and stitch length adjustment that can change stitch length even while sewing to ensure every stitch is executed with confidence.
