Another great show in 2009 for JMM Software

It was another great year for JMM Software at the 2009 VDTA/SDTA Trade Show. It was JMM Software’s 10th year exhibiting their Point of Sale system, made specifically for the sewing and vacuum industries, at the show. Despite uncertain economic times, the JMM Software booth was very busy with store owners and managers learning how a good Point of Sale system will save time, eliminate many common headaches, and bring more customers through their front door. The seminar given by Company President Joe Martinez was well attended, and the attendees found the presentation very informative.

JMM Software also unveiled their latest innovation, the Cutting Table Barcode Solution Standard version 2.0. For stores that sell fabric, a common problem is how to scan the barcodes on the fabric bolts, when the cutting table is across the store from the checkout area. The Cutting Table Barcode Solution from JMM Software solves this problem by allowing salespeople to scan the bolts at the cutting table and enter the yardage amount. The customer then receives a barcoded “ticket,” which they take up to the front to be scanned and to complete the transaction.

JMM Software has been selling different versions of the Cutting Table Barcode Solution for a number of years. The latest version (2.0) uses a new technology, making it the most reliable and easiest to use yet. One example is the ability to switch between printing on receipt paper or adhesive labels with the touch of a single button. It also has the ability to print only a single barcode per piece of fabric, rather than two, saving time at checkout.
