Betting on a “sure thing” in Las Vegas – Miele appliances!

This year’s VDTA Convention in Las Vegas brought together dealers from across the country to experience the newest in vacuum technology, and of course, Miele being at the forefront of appliance engineering, was a highlight of the event. Nadine Gast, product manager for Miele shares the exciting details of the convention.

What new Miele products were showcased?

The main attraction this year was Miele’s new S7 upright vacuum and upcoming S2 comfort class canister vacuum series. The innovative S7 upright vacuum boasts extreme agility, high performance and convenience. S7 by Miele breaks the boundaries between upright and canister, combining the very best of both worlds into one ultra maneuverable design. Its patented new SwivelNeck™ technology, with power-steering capability, allows the user to effortlessly move the vacuum in any direction -- even laying flat to the floor -- with an extremely low profile that glides under beds, tables and more.

Excitement also surrounded the sneak preview of Miele’s soon-to-be-released S2 canister vacuum series, which represents a high-quality, attractively economical appliance. Equipped with a 1,200-watt Miele-made Vortex Motor System™ ensuring thorough dust pick up and supported by a new fiberglass-reinforced polymer-base floorhead -- this functional vacuum offers Miele’s legendary durability and performance at a great price point.

For the first time, Miele also displayed the comfort class dishwasher models to encourage dealers to offer other Miele appliances in their showrooms. In addition to the SLC laundry set and the state-of-the art coffee systems, these products offer profitable opportunities for vacuum dealers to enter the appliance business. Miele is providing exciting business solutions for dealers who want to come onboard and many expressed their interest in becoming an even stronger business partner.

Cash Back Sales Promotion

You don’t have to be a gambling expert to know that betting on Miele is a sure thing. Just ask the dealers. As in past years, Miele offered the cash back incentive sales promotion. And everyone who participated came away a winner. The total of special discounts for each model was presented on a check directly to the dealers at the show. The results and feedback of this promotion were incredible, and the traffic at the booth immense. It was definitely a show-stopper.

Positive Vibes

Dealers throughout were positive about Miele products and their productive business relationship. Many made comments that the Miele booth is always the most exciting and a “must” on their list of booths to visit. Dealers congratulated Miele for always having something new and exciting to share. Many dealers shared success stories of the S7 and were excited for the future S2 launch.

Dealer Appreciation Event

On the opening day, Miele invited their dealer network to an exciting evening at Christian Audigier -- The Nightclub at Treasure Island. The reception included drinks and dinner and the highlight was the VIP access to the private outside bar that overlooked the world-renowned Sirens show at Treasure Island. Dealers enjoyed the unique experience and thanked Miele for always providing this very special appreciation event to show that their partnership is valued.
