Dealers tell of
TRADE SHOW SUCCESS, PROFITS
with TORNADOPOWER® Cloths

At February’s VDTA Show in Las Vegas, representatives of Wincor Inc. had the opportunity to visit with dealers of TORNADOPOWER® Central Vacuum Maintenance Cloths, and hear ways that those dealers are placing the product with their existing customers to increase profits and customer satisfaction.

“Existing customers are a dealer’s best prospects for selling TORNADOPOWER®,” said Lisa Corwin of Wincor Inc. “At home shows, if a customer comes up and says, ‘I love my central vac!’ a great question to ask them is, ‘Have you cleaned your vac pipes lately?’ This type of statement to a loyal customer creates an instant sell for this product. In general, dealers that incorporate TORNADOPOWER® into their business find that it is a great way to strengthen the customer relationship, while establishing a great source of recurring revenue!”

Adam Clemer of CJ Miller Vacuum Center stopped by the Wincor booth at the VDTA Show to share how he showcased the product to his customers at a recent trade show.

“We always have customers who will stop by the booth to see what is new, and so I basically introduced it as a new product designed to maintain your vac system,” he said. After the introduction, Clemer said he also made a point to let the customers see the product in action.

“We were actually set up to demonstrate TORNADOPOWER® Cloths right there at the show. In fact, during the course of the show we went through about two canisters’ worth of product,” he said. “This allowed our customers to actually touch the product, to feel the unique texture, and then witness for themselves how effectively the product works. As an added bonus, everyone commented on the clean, fresh scent.”

Clemer said that once customers saw the product for themselves, the sales were made, adding that, “We sold 48 canisters at the show with relatively little effort, and I believe we could have sold double that amount if we had really tried.”

Also stopping by the Wincor booth at the VDTA Show, Joe Bond of The Vacmaster reported that sales of TORNADOPOWER® Central Vacuum Maintenance Cloths are going very well for them. He recently ran a series of local advertisements and promptly sold 72 preventative maintenance calls, each one utilizing TORNADOPOWER®!

In addition to these reports, several TORNADOPOWER® dealers mentioned that they are now including a canister of TORNADOPOWER® Central Vacuum Maintenance Cloths standard with every new vac system installed, incorporating the retail price into the cost of every new unit. Some even added that, when installing the system, their service tech will run a few cloths through just to test the system and demonstrate the product. The clean, fresh scent that is left in the receptacle becomes another point of reinforcement for the homeowner, who will return to the store to purchase more product to keep their system smelling -- and running -- like new.

Many dealers who stopped by the Wincor booth mentioned that placing a reminder sticker on the machine and/or a label on the TORNADOPOWER® canister itself was a must for making sure that the customer knows where to go for product and service.
