Hemingworth thread introduced to convention attendees Hemingworth embroidery thread met with overwhelming success when introduced at the 2007 VDTA/SDTA Convention in Las Vegas. Those attending the trade show experienced first-hand Hemingworth’s remarkable thread quality and revolutionary spool and cap. Hemingworth combines exceptional thread with a unique thread spool designed to prevent unraveling and tangling, deliver a smooth feed to the embroidery machine and protect thread from elements which destroy thread quality. For decades, embroiderers have faced the challenge of effectively storing their embroidery thread. But with Hemingworth, there’s no need to buy additional products, such as netting or tape, to help with thread storage. Each spool of Hemingworth thread comes with a patent-pending cap, which encases the thread at all times and prevents unraveling and tangling with other spools. The protective cap on a Hemingworth spool is also designed to act as a thread guide during the embroidery process. Thread often snags during embroidery production, either by getting trapped underneath the spool or caught on a neighboring spool, leading to frequent thread breaks and a lot of frustration! But as Hemingworth thread unwinds from the spool, it is smoothly guided through the top of the cap and delivered to the machine without kinking or twisting. This steady delivery prevents snagging and greatly decreases thread breaks. And because the Hemingworth spool and cap acts as a thread guide, the spool can run from just about anywhere and still have a smooth feed to the embroidery machine. This means that Hemingworth thread can be used in a variety of different positions, in or around the embroidery machine. The quality of Hemingworth thread is exceptional. Through years of research, Hemingworth discovered an embroidery thread that is not only vibrant and glossy, but also strong and colorfast. Made with advanced trilobal technology, Hemingworth thread remains soft, strong and vibrant, even when bleached or subjected to harsh laundry conditions. Hemingworth gladly provided thread samples to attendees of VDTA/SDTA and has since received overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the superior thread quality. Ed Wadsworth, president of Hemingworth, was excited to attend the VDTA/SDTA Show and present this product to attendees. He stated “We are excited to finally release the revolutionary new Hemingworth thread spool to the U.S. market and were happy with the positive response from the VDTA/SDTA Show. This remarkable product is changing the lives of both consumers and retailers around the world, and we are seeing a reinvigoration of the embroidery industry as we continue to introduce new and innovative products.” In addition to the 1000-meter thread spool, available from retailers this June, Hemingworth is also producing a 5000-meter spool and cap. Other Hemingworth products include high-quality stabilizers, tweezers, clippers and thread stands -- with more innovative products to be announced soon. Hemingworth’s mission is to understand what embroiderers really need and provide them with products that will streamline the embroidery process and make life easier for everyone.
