Dyson Stowaway unveiled at VDTA Convention

At the VDTA Trade Show in Las Vegas, Dyson unveiled their latest technology -- Dyson Stowaway™, a canister designed specially for American homes. This spring, the company also launched Dyson Slim™, the most powerful lightweight with no loss of suction.

The Stowaway is Dyson’s tailor-made offering for the U.S. canister market. Like all Dyson vacuums, it features patented Root CycloneTM technology for no clogging and no loss of suction. The hose and wand compress and wrap around the machine for easy and convenient storage. It also has a powerful motorized cleaner head with brush control to protect rugs and delicate floors. Dyson Stowaway, with an MSRP of $499.99, is available at a number of Dyson Authorized Dealers.

Dyson Slim is the first lightweight with powerful, constant suction. Weighing only 15.8 pounds, it is nearly 20 percent less than the average upright vacuum, making it easier to carry up and down stairs and around the home. The machine also sits on a steering mechanism that maneuvers into those awkward spots. The unique Telescope Reach™ wand quickly extends to clean stairs and hard to reach areas. Dyson Slim, with an MSRP of $469.99, is also available at a number of Dyson Authorized Dealers.

“These new machines offer the same patented cyclone technology as all Dysons, meaning that unlike other vacuums, Dyson Slim and Stowaway will not clog and will not lose suction,” said Gordon Thom, Dyson U.S. President. “We know consumers understand the benefits of Dyson technology. We believe that our network of independent vacuum cleaner dealers play a vital role in putting our products into the hands of those who will benefit most.”

Making better products is what Dyson is all about and as we can see, these two new vacuums are the next step in improving the category for consumers and retailers alike. For more information on Dyson or the two new vacuums go to www.dyson.com or contact your local Dyson territory sales manager.
