VACUFLO creates a buzz with Hide-A-Hose

VACUFLO created a buzz at this year’s VDTA Show with the Hide-A-Hose retractable hose management system. Recently named a U.S. distribution partner for Hide-A-Hose, VACUFLO showcased the system and its new features for 2007 in their exhibit display as well as two sponsored seminars.

Attendees had a chance to see a Hide-A-Hose valve installed at a local Las Vegas home during the H-P Products sponsored installation training. Field Trainer Chris Slackford covered proper installation techniques for the hose management system. Later in the convention, Slackford also presented a seminar previewing the new Hide-A-Hose valve and changes for 2007.

The new valve is smaller than the current model and features a sleek, contemporary design. The new locking mechanism improves the seal and allows the hose to be used with or without a hose sock, giving dealers better opportunities to sell retractable hose inlets in garages or other commercial applications where a hose sock may not be desired.

Edges have been rounded, and the hose’s retract angle has been changed allowing the hose to retract easier and smoother. The valve can be used with or without a low-voltage switch that can be easily inserted at trim.

Installation of the new valve is also easier, saving time for installers. The main difference is that the new valve uses a mounting plate at rough-in. It attaches to a stud just like a standard valve. At trim, the valve assembly slides into the mounting plate and attaches with just four screws.

Also introduced during the show were a new injection-molded, large radius 90-degree fitting and a new swivel handle/hose connection for the Hide-A-Hose system.

The new Hide-A-Hose products are scheduled to be available by May 2007.

VACUFLO has a complete Hide-A-Hose literature and display support package available for its dealers. For more information on VACUFLO products and programs, visit www.vacuflo.com, or call 1-800-822-8356.
