An Alternative to Central Vacuums -- Easy to install InterVac system does not require pipes making it perfectly suited for small homes, condos, town homes, office, R/V's, boats, hobby shop etc. In 1998, InterVac began looking at the compact central vacuum cleaner market. What they found were bulky, heavy steel boxes with no styling and poor construction. They decided InterVac could do a better job. Their patented technology utilizes a special "rib"design in the vacuum chamber which allows the high filtration dust bag to fill completely before it needs replacing. Only the InterVac can be flush mounted inside a 2x4 stud wall. A powerful 12 amp motor with 100"of water lift and 400 air watts gives it the power to perform. The InterVac has the same or better performance than most quality household vacuums. There is nothing else on the market that compares with its convenience, compactness or design features. Upright or canister vacuum cleaners take up too much storage space and most are heavy to push or pull through the home. With an InterVac system, the power unit is either installed inside the wall or on the surface of a wall and the consumer uses only a lightweight central vacuum hose for cleaning. Because the InterVac is stationary it will not damage baseboards or furniture, it also means the power unit has a longer life span. The InterVac is so easy to use; it is no longer a chore to clean. The vacuum can also be used for quick clean ups of high traffic areas with the optional 40 feet stretch hose eliminating the need for low powered "broom" type vacuums. InterVac has an exciting variety of installation possibilities: You can hang the power unit on the wall over 4 screw heads and the attached 5-1/2 foot electric cord provides the power from a receptacle, an on/off switch starts the vacuum, or you can flush mount the unit into the wall against a stud and hard wire the vacuum to an electrical receptacle nearby or circuit breaker. Models are: H, F and CM. If you want to show only a vacuum inlet valve in the living area of a home like traditional central vacuums you can use the model RM. This remote start unit installs the same way as the 3 models above but it receives the debris through a 2" flex-hose into the top of the vacuum housing. This set-up should be mounted in a closet, utility room, garage, basement etc where you have living quarters on the other side of the wall. Please see illustrated pictures nearby. Horizontally mounting the RM in the base board of a kitchen cabinet and connecting a short flex-hose to a Vac-Pan in the cabinets kick-board is another option. Since the flanged front panel of the vacuum protrude only about 1 inch from the cabinets base board valuable cabinet space can be saved. InterVacs are used with either a 30 feet crush-proof hose or a 40 foot stretch-hose which retracts to 8 feet. For homes we recommend the crush-proof hose and for smaller places with space constraints, like boats and R/V's, the stretch hose is ideal. By using a 5 layer fiber hepa type dust bag filtration is up to 99% at .03 microns. Additionally a motor protection filter and an exhaust filter are also used. Bag capacity is about 1 gallon. InterVac is perfect in condos, small homes and apartments where 1 or 2 units are sufficient to cover the entire area and where it would be too costly to install a full central system. The InterVac is also perfect for remodeling where it is impossible or very expensive to install a pipe system in the walls. Each of the InterVac's cleans about 900 to 1,200 sq. ft. depending on the layout. InterVac has UL, CSA, CE, Australian and Israeli certifications. In Canada they have been awarded the best new foreign product for 2006 at the WRLA trade show and various articles in newspapers and trade magazines. Vacuums are available in five colors, white, beige, red, light gray and black For the VDTA dealer the option of having an alternative to the traditional systems available can be quite profitable and advantageous.
