“The Serger Lady” offers intensive training for educators Linda Lee Vivian has been given the nickname “The Serger Lady” because she loves to experiment and teach others to get excited about their serger. Today Linda Lee is offering an intensive training for educators in a retreat atmosphere. For many years she has been asked if she would offer such a training. “I have been teaching for over 18 years in every type of venue,” she explained. “My goal was a lofty one all those years ago. I wanted to help every serger owner ‘Make Friends With Their Serger.’ I love teaching beginning seminars so that I might better understand what is needed by the beginning student. I dearly love seeing someone get excited about what their serger can do.” For years customers have limited the capability of their serger, said Linda Lee. When you combine decorative threads, beautiful fabrics and creative ideas you get a work of art that is only possible on a serger, so Linda Lee will take you into a new dimension of creativity as she shows you how to make your serger “dance.” “This retreat will be held in my studio overlooking a lake. You will learn in a relaxed atmosphere as I teach you how to teach. Wonderful meals will be provided in a Bed and Breakfast atmosphere. You will play with lots of decorative threads as you work page by page through the many techniques covered in my new generic serger book, and you will leave with a completed workbook filled with beautiful samples as well as a project or two to use as samples for your classes.” This is a certification retreat so you will leave as a certified educator. Visit Linda Lee’s Web site for more information: www.lindaleeoriginals.com or you can e-mail her at linda@lindaleeoriginals.com. Registration is open now and students will be enrolled on a first come basis. The number of students will be limited to ensure that each student receives personal attention. Students will arrive on March 29 and leave on April 4, 2009. “I have also been given a new ministry for healing after abuse,” Linda Lee shared. “There is a real need in this country for education and direction for those affected by the subject, and I would like to spend more time helping others who need support in this area. By training educators how to teach my techniques and sending them out across the country I will have more time to spend on the ministry. It is time that we stand and help our dear friends learn how to live without abuse in their lives. We need a healing touch in this country. Join with me in this effort.” You can visit Linda Lee’s Web site and blogsite at www.angelthreadsministry.com. Reprinted from SQE Professional, March 2009 |
