SUN AIRE®

Proudly made “the old fashioned” way right here in the USA!

In the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas there is a Made in America manufacturer that does it the old fashioned way. Married nearly 30 years, Jeannie and Dale Mitchell began their SUN AIRE® manufacturing company building SUN AIRE® Ductless Furnaces and SUN AIRE® Purifiers in 2001. Using a friend’s metal bending equipment to build the first prototypes, taking free shipping pallets apart to use the wood to build their tables/shelves/fixtures, they had the first SUN AIRE® Ductless Furnace out the door in less than a month.

Since the beginning they have taken pride in being a Made in America manufacturer and building lifetime products while providing excellent customer service. When they could only afford to buy a few electrical cords, that’s how many they bought. As a paid-in-full manufacturing company, they received some good advice from an old friend before they started on this adventure. “Always GROW into business, never GO into business!” That is their business motto, while their personal motto is: “Always treat others the way you want to be treated.” Both of these “old fashioned” mottos have served SUN AIRE® and their distributors very well as they continue building lifetime, safe, simple, serviceable SUN AIRE® products right here in the USA.

The SUN AIRE® Ductless Furnace has been built right here in America longer than any of the other similar products on the market today. Unlike the foreign made units that use infrared technology, SUN AIRE® uses the new technology of halogen lamps for their heating source. These halogen lamps can be purchased locally for a few dollars each and easily replaced by the customer when needed.

By using the new technology of halogen lamps, SUN AIRE® heats the air directly and immediately. All infrared heating, on the other hand, must heat an object up first in order to transport any heat into the air and your living space. The SUN AIRE® customer does not need a 40%+ humidity level like with some infrared heating systems. Halogen lamps provide heat by heating air, therefore, there is no energy wasted to heat up another surface first like infrared units ; i.e. heat up copper cylinders or a metal heat exchanger, etc. before heated air comes out of the infrared units. With halogen’s new technology, there is no need to cool the halogen lamps off when the unit shuts off. Some infrared heating units continue to have their fan(s) running to cool off the infrared heat lamps. Local Mennonite cabinet makers build SUN AIRE ®’s full-size Oak cabinets, which can be used year round as a lamp or end table. Dimensions are 23” L x 14 1/2” W x 19 1/2” H and the unit weighs less than 35 lbs.

The digital programmable thermostat is not only sensitive within 1/2 to 1 degree, but can also be programmed for four different temperature changes in any 24 hour period. This thermostat alone can save SUN AIRE® customers up to 28% over conventional non-programmable, non-sensitive bi-metal thermostat controlled heating systems. SUN AIRE ® Ductless Furnaces are the only units on the market which actually have light port inspection holes, whereby the customer can determine if all of the halogen lamps are working. They go the extra mile to powder coat their lamp chamber rather than spray painting. This means there is never any out gassing or offensive odors, and powder coat is a lifetime process that remains on the metal. All SUN AIRE® products are completely assembled, tested and ready to sell right out of the box -- all right here in America.

SUN AIRE® also builds a real air purifier. SUN AIRE® has been an approved vendor for two of the nation’s largest healthcare conglomerates for the past eight years. The SUN AIRE® Purifiers use a unique custom dual frequency UVC lamp process which purifies indoor air just like sunlight does outdoors daily. It is not just a germicidal UVC lamp. SUN AIRE’s American made custom UVC lamp is designed to produce both frequencies of germicidal and viral wavelength spectrums. These SUN AIRE® Purifiers have been shipped as far away as Saipan to a hospital TB ward and also to a clinic in Panama. By using this cool, safe, photon (photon-from the Latin word meaning “light”) process to purify indoor air, SUN AIRE® Purifiers effectively eliminate airborne bacteria and viruses; mold spores; pet/smoke/ammonia odors; dust and dust mites.

Built of brushed stainless steel inside and out and with the same lifetime washable 0.5 micron pre-filter found on the SUN AIRE® Ductless Furnaces, the SUN AIRE® Purifiers are again lifetime, safe, simple and serviceable. They have two sizes -- one the residential size which can purify up to 2,000 square feet, and also the commercial size which can purify up to 4,000 square feet.

Due to the safe method of purifying indoor air, SUN AIRE® can save the lodging industry, fire/smoke/water/mold remediation and restoration industry, cleaning industry, and others 50% of their time. Unlike air purifiers which produce heat-activated ozone with the side-effect of nitrogen gas, SUN AIRE® does not produce anything harmful while purifying indoor air. Therefore, you can be in the living space performing your tasks while SUN AIRE® Purifiers are running.

During their years in business, SUN AIRE® has been able to ship within 24 hours of receiving an order. This is unheard of by most standards anywhere, yesterday or today. They pride themselves in always getting back to their customers right away whether from email requests or phone calls, often times within the hour. They provide a level of customer service most people have not enjoyed for years.

Even with the economy as it is, SUN AIRE® has experienced one of its best years so far. They attribute this to several things. Americans seem to be waking up and realizing that unless Americans start buying quality American made products, there will be no jobs for us, for our children or our grandchildren. Those who have less expendable income are seeking out and spending their hard earned money on quality, lifetime, Made in America products, because they realize they may not have the money to replace their throw-away, made overseas products when those stop working and cannot be easily maintained or repaired by the customer.

As Americans move forward with hope that jobs will return to our shores, SUN AIRE® will continue to build lifetime SUN AIRE® Ductless Furnaces and SUN AIRE®  Purifiers in the hills of Arkansas, doing it the same way their American ancestors did before them -- the “old fashioned” way.
