New Products RNK offers new Fuwari 3-D Embroidery
To offer the Fuwari process, dealers purchase a proprietary Fuwari cutter. RNK also provides specialty materials embroiderers will purchase from the dealer to create Fuwari designs. This includes topping pads, specially pre-digitized designs, and a special bobbin thread. Customers choose a design from the package and sew their garment or item using the topping pad and the bobbin thread. The design is brought back to the dealer who heats the design with a household iron or heat press, which melts the special bobbin thread securing the stitches to the item. Once heat sealed, the design is run through the special Fuwari cutting machine, which shears off the tops of the stitches. The remaining topping is pulled off and the resulting piece has the look and feel of a velour towel in the shape of the design embroidered. There are several pre-digitized design packs available with new designs added on a regular basis. The system comes with the cutting machine and as many supplies as a dealer wants to order. This patented process is ideal for classes where the technique is taught, and customers purchase needed supplies from the dealer. The Fuwari concept is expected to renew and increase interest in home embroidery across the country.
