* Internal Compact Steam Generator - With a high velocity of steam created inside the iron, instead of externally when it hits the soleplate, the Velocity produces more continuous dry steam, even at a minimum temperature setting. Not only does this significantly soften fabric fibers for faster, true “single pass pressing” that is far better for maintaining material, the drip-less steam means no water stains.
* Two Separate Heating Elements - One maintains a constant temperature for the steam generator; the other regulates the temperature of the soleplate, which can be adjusted and maintained to the exact temperature needs of the fabric being pressed -- with no water sputtering or spitting. *Arrangement of Soleplate Holes - More soleplate holes don’t make an iron more powerful, but their arrangement will. The Velocity soleplate has an exclusive design with steam holes concentrated only at the tip -- just like professional steam irons. This prepares fabric with a constant and abundant outflow of steam for quicker ironing, while the rest of the heated soleplate dries and smoothes the garments.
