Industry News Tacony Corp. acquires Truvox International Tacony Corporation announced it has acquired the Truvox International Ltd. Company of Millbrook, Southampton, Hampshire, U.K. Tacony welcomes Truvox to its family of companies. Truvox was found in the 1930’s, originally producing sound reproduction equipment. The production of floor cleaning machines started in the early 1960’s with a range of electrical polishing machines. Since then Truvox International has moved forward to be recognized as a world leader in the design and production of pioneering new and effective floor care machines. Truvox International will continue to operate independently as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tacony, with their existing management team remaining in place. This merger now brings the market strength and broad product range of Tacony Corporation’s Powr-Flite Commercial Floor Care Division and CFR Environmental Carpet Cleaning Systems in the U.S. together with the Truvox and Cimex branding and market presence in the UK, Europe, Mid-East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. By merging the two companies, Tacony will establish a unique competitive position as an industry-leading, full-line supplier of total floor care machines with worldwide market penetration. According to Tacony Corporation President & COO Bill Hinderer, the Truvox merger makes sense for customers, shareholders, and employees alike. “No other company will be able to offer a similar range of high performance hard floor machines, carpet cleaning systems and specialist machines,” commented Hinderer. “This deal is as close to a perfect match as you can get for a merger of this size in the cleaning equipment sector. Tacony can bring the product, market and industry leadership proposition that will position Truvox for a new era of growth.” “We believe that merging with Tacony is the best path forward for all involved in our business” said Truvox Managing Director Peter Holt. “Both companies are passionate about serving the needs of the floor cleaning market and our visions, technologies, and overall strategies are very closely aligned already.” In the future, Tacony will look for opportunities to add other Tacony made products to their global distribution network including sewing and home floor care products.
