Industry News Susman’s Linoleum and Rug Company 70 years in business – 45 years offering HOST® Since 1939 Susman’s has offered HOST to keep customers coming back Bob Susman is the second generation owner of Susman’s Linoleum and Rug Company. Susman’s is a beautiful store on a busy road in Gurnee, IL, that was started by Bob’s father in 1939. They have been in business for 70 years, through the good times and the bad times. Susman’s has always offered quality flooring for reasonable prices. Bob’s secret to success is the repeat business that he gets from his clients, many of whom have been shopping at Susman’s for as long as Bob has been working there. Recently Kari Schatzman and Geoff Greeley of HOST had the pleasure of awarding Bob a plaque signifying 45 years as a HOST customer. “He was very surprised and we were happy to thank him for his 45 years of loyalty to HOST,” said Greeley. “He has offered his customers a superior solution for carpet care since 1964.” On the day Schatzman and Greeley were at Susman’s, they met Lori and Derrick, who are two of the employees at Susman’s. Greeley said, “Lori and Derrick enthusiastically told us how much they like HOST and how they were so pleased we were there to give Bob this recognition. As Lori said, ‘Bob deserves it.’ Derrick told us that he loves the HOST. He has four children at home and gets ample opportunity to use it.
