Brother’s new Holiday Card No. 77 gives “permission to play”

Play a little! That’s the suggestion from Brother International Corporation regarding its new embroidery card, Holidays Card No. 77.  The versatile collection not only includes colorful motifs for traditional holidays and gift-giving occasions, but its most delightful aspects are the frame, corner and border elements that can make any home embroidery enthusiast a designer.

For example, by arranging the card’s elegant Christmas-inspired swag in a simple repeat, the home embroiderer can create a stunning circular motif on a fine tablecloth, and make napkins to match with an echo of the swag design.  Or, how about a Victorian floral theme, with flowing ribbons and masses of blooms, in highly versatile corner, standalone and oval-framed versions?

Nearly every holiday theme represented on Card No. 77 has this “permission to play” built in, with simple-to-manipulate standalone motifs and coordinating border or corner elements. That user-friendly versatility is what the rapidly growing -- and creative -- market of home embroidery enthusiasts are seeking. The card’s eclectic collection of 43 designs addresses traditional holidays such as Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, plus it has designs appropriate for weddings, birthdays and baby gifts. Design tone varies from traditional and feminine to contemporary and fun.

Card No. 77 -- like Brother’s extensive design card collection of more than 70 cards -- can be used by embroiderers operating any model of Brother’s sewing and embroidery or embroidery-only machines.  Design sizes on Card No. 77 range from 4 inches x 4 inches to a maximum of 5 inches x 7 inches.

Note: Embroiderers with maximum 4-inch x 4-inch frame size will not accept larger designs.
