In the past, making chenille by hand was a very tedious and time-consuming process. In addition, it was very difficult to make the chenille accurately.

Michelle Hill developed Chenille Sew Easy™ as a solution to these challenges. Hill said, “We debuted this idea at the Houston International Quilt Market in October 2009 and it was very well received by the shop owners in attendance. Currently Chenille Sew Easy™ templates are available in ¼" and ½" sizes. In addition, five patterns that use our template are available for shop owners now.”

More patterns are in the development stage by the design team, Lisa England, Gloria Limb, and Michelle Hill from WV Quilt in Barboursville, WV.
