Sewing Machine Repair Classes to be offered at 2010 VDTA/SDTA Show Jim Jacobson, founder of The California Academy of Sewing Machine Repair, will be offering five repair classes during the next VDTA/SDTA Trade Show & Convention in March 2010. The classes he will instruct March 25-27 are as follows: Beginning Sewing Machine Repair: This class will share the basic knowledge, tools and techniques for completing a basic service/tuneup. This is a fun class with lots of questions and answers, perfect for vac dealers wanting to expand. Intermediate Sewing Machine Repair (Tips and Tricks): This class will share slightly advanced (but easy) steps, tools, and procedures for repairing sewing machines. The emphasis will be on binds/tightness and noise issues. This is a fun class and is open to limited class discussion. Jacobson has more than 39 years industry experience, 36 as owner of a successful sewing and vacuum business. He is factory-trained on European, American, and Japanese sewing machines, has authored many articles and videos and has given numerous seminars.
