In line with industry standards, FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery® rates will increase by an average of 5.9%, effective Jan. 5, 2009. Earlier FedEx Express announced an average 6.9% increase, partially offset by adjusting the fuel price at which the fuel surcharge begins, reducing the fuel surcharge by 2 percentage points. A 4.9% net average increase is also in line with the industry standard.
