Sylvia Design makes modular furniture, creating the perfect combination of cabinets and storage chests for today’s quilters and sewers. When a customer buys one piece of furniture and adds drawer stacks and/or Quilters Additions, they’ve added more storage space or surface area.

They can start with one model, such as the 1600, 810, or 810Q, and when they grow, the cabinet grows with them. They can add a drawer chest that is designed to fit under the sewing cabinet, or add the chest next to the cabinet and they’ve extended their work surface by feet! If they don’t need extra surface space but do need more storage, depending on the model, they can add storage chests under the back extension leaf. If space is at a premium in the sewing room, the back leaf on many models can be folded down. They can reduce the amount of space some cabinets utilize and still have access to their sewing machine.

With flush hinges, fabric won’t ever snag. They are attached to the strongest part of the wood – the sides, not the end. Quality is always first and foremost in products by Sylvia Design. Each one of their cabinets is made with furniture grade boards and a Melamine finish that is heat and scratch resistant. Choose from teak, cherry, oak and white. The drawers are constructed of metal and the wheels glide with ease. Cam-locks and easy roll locking casters secure the pieces and prevent movement or shifting.

With a number of different models from which to choose, Sylvia offers something for everyone. Sylvia’s exclusive Rudersburg hydraulic lift to raise and lower the machine is smooth and effortless to use. It’s the best available and the only one Sylvia will use. All of the cabinets come fully assembled – just attach the wheels.
