Beam HEPA Air Filtration Systems A hit with dealers, Green Builders

Central vacuum dealers for years have contributed to healthier living environments by providing systems that remove 100 percent of contacted surface dust and allergens from the living area. Now Beam dealers can provide customers with a complete indoor environmental quality package with the addition of Beam HEPA Air Filtration Systems that rid the living area of airborne contaminants. Three models of HEPA Air Filtration Systems were introduced to Beam dealers in January, and already more than 100 Beam dealers throughout the U.S. have added them to their product lineup.

“The dealers are excited they can now provide builders and homeowners with a complete indoor environmental quality solution,” said Larry Hartley, vice president of sales and marketing. “The combination of central vacuum systems and Beam HEPA Air Filtration Systems can remove up to 90 percent of the particulates in the home from surfaces and from the air.”

The Beam Air Filtration Systems feature a three-stage filtration process that:

• Captures particulates including dust and smoke;
• Removes gasses and household odors;
• Traps biological contaminants such as allergens, mold spores and bacteria.

“The True HEPA media in Beam Air Filtration Systems offers the equivalent of MERV 16-20, up to three times the minimum filtering capability required by the nation’s leading green building programs,” added Hartley. “The superior filtration is helping dealers expand their business with rapidly growing green builders.”

Three models are available, including two installed systems, the Model 350 which is ideal for homes up to 2,500 square feet and the Model 675 which is designed for homes up to 5,000 square feet. Both models can be easily installed to the return air duct in new homes and most existing homes in about 30 minutes. There’s also a portable system, the Model 3000, that allows the homeowner to move the system from room to room.
