BISSELL picks up steam with Deluxe Model

BISSELL Homecare, Inc. has released a new product in the steam cleaning category -- the Steam Mop Deluxe. Steam is the fastest-growing segment in floor care, and BISSELL's latest release offers consumers an effective, easy-to-use and high-quality Steam Mop, using the natural power of steam and microfiber mop pads to ensure bare floors are thoroughly clean.

Sales in the bare floor and steam category have increased more than tenfold from 2006 to 2008, according to NPD POS data, as consumers turn to this powerful and effective method for hard floor cleaning. When used as directed, the BISSELL Steam Mops are safe and effective on virtually all bare floor surfaces -- marble, ceramic, stone, vinyl, laminate, linoleum and sealed hardwood floors. The Steam Mop's "Steam on Demand" trigger allows the user to control the amount of steam released according to the mess and cleans even the most hard-to-reach places with a maneuverable head.

"As a leader in the floor care industry, BISSELL is proud to drive the expansion of hard floor steam cleaning as an innovative, effective cleaning method, while delivering a more premium cleaning experience," said Jim Krzeminski, BISSELL's executive vice president and chief customer officer.

Additional features of the Steam Mop Deluxe include:

  • Water purification system, to leave floors spotless and streak-free
  • High-quality, washable microfiber pads
  • Easy-to-fill, high-capacity water tank that can be filled directly from the tap - no need for cups or funnels
  • Quick heating, about 30 seconds after plugging in
