Cana-Vac Vacu-Vision®

Today's younger consumer is savvy, embracing new technology. They are open to new ideas and embrace change. Last years smart phone or computer is no longer as cool as the latest and greatest device which is unbeknownst to them, already obsolete sitting new on the store shelf.

The central vacuum industry on the other hand, seems to ride on a reliable continuum with technological advancements slow by comparison. Sure there have been some amazing inventions over the years, some which have revolutionized our industry. For the most part, information technology has not truly bridged the relationship between the vacuum system and the accessory…that is until now.

Cana-Vac's new Vacu-Vision® is the first hose of its kind. Not only because it is the only hose to relay real-time information to the consumer on an LCD Dashboard, but also because Cana-Vac is launching it with the first ever soft touch Kink-Proof hose!

First, let's start with the technology which communicates to the consumer in the language of their choice. Vacu-Vision® can be programmed in any one of 12 different languages…Spanish anyone? Or perhaps you would prefer Italian?

While some have tried to relay information on the central vacuum unit, typically it sits in a garage or basement. The consumer rarely sees it. On the other hand, Vacu-Vision® is a central vacuum information dashboard located on the hose handle. If there is an error, the LCD screen immediately switches from Cana-Vac® blue to ALERT RED making it very obvious that something may be amiss with your vacuum.

In a language the consumer understands, some alerts include: "Bag Full", "Blockage" or something more serious such as "Check Motor", "Over Temp" or if service is required.

In addition to the real time diagnostic functionality, Vacu-Vision® also allows the consumer to vary the speed (High - Medium - Low) of an electric powerhead and/or central vacuum suction! This is particularly beneficial for those with delicate Persian rugs or other carpets where full suction and aggressive brush speed is detrimental.

On the handle, is a high intensity LED headlight which can be toggled "on" or "off" by the consumer and allows the consumer to use task lighting in those darker areas.

The Cana-Vac Vacu-Vision® hose is the first of its kind. It is inherently soft to the touch and is Kink-Proof! It is stronger than crushproof style hoses and overcomes the drag which makes typical wire-reinforced hoses feel heavier when moving along a carpet.

Best of all, the Cana-Vac Vacu-Vision® hose also works with other manufacturers makes and models (if fitted with a tangential exhaust). Through a simple set up procedure, the Cana-Vac® Vacu-Vision® Controller Module learns the operating parameters of any vacuum!
