SVP restructures business sectors

Distribution channels to benefit from synergies & support

SVP Worldwide is realigning its business sectors in an effort to gain market synergies as well as provide greater efficiencies in its distribution channels and in continuing to provide exceptional customer service and support.

Independent dealers look to their distributors for intensive product and business training as well as depth and scope in marketing to all customer bases, whether avid, latent or beginning sewers. The structure, support and organization of the firm’s Westlake, OH, office and training center best meet this need.

The internal workings of the entire organization is structured to provide the independent dealer with the best possible customer service internally and in the field, extensive marketing support, intensive product and business training as well as excellent educational programs.

Whereas the mass merchant business is essential in building the progression of the sewer, providing entry level products at entry-level price points, carrying the majority of new business entering the sewing marketplace. Singer is attuned to these channels’ marketing, distribution and audience needs. Carrying top-of-mind recognition worldwide, Singer is the best brand to provide quality products for major retailers and has helped bring sewing to the forefront for crafters everywhere.

The results will be that Westlake, OH, and LaVergne, TN, will manage the entire SVP business channels each is best at servicing. All mass merchant business, including accounts for White sewing machines and Singer sewing machines, will be serviced from LaVergne. Independent dealer business for the Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, Singer and White brands will be taken care of through the Westlake facility.

SVP is confident this move will bring greater business opportunities as well as synergies in developing its markets. SVP believes this move will allow the appropriate groups to better focus on its business strengths, provide the best possible support and opportunities for each business channel, and continue to bring recognized brands to their markets.
