Ricky Tims designs first fabric collection for Red Rooster Fabrics

Red Rooster Fabrics announced that Ricky Tims, known worldwide for his Harmonic Convergence quilts, has designed his first fabric collection, Rhapsodie Cloree, for Red Roster. The collection features a burst design based on Ricky’s Rhapsody concept of gently flowing curved images that are mirrored and reversed. Rhapsody Cloree has the same glorious colors seen in Ricky’s own hand-dyed fabrics. The collection will be introduced at International Quilt Market in Salt Lake City, UT, this May.

Ricky’s first book, Ricky Tims’ Convergence Quilts, was published by C&T in 2003. His second book, Rhapsody Quilts, also with C&T, will be published in time for International Quilt Market, this fall. Ricky has won several awards for his quilts, including Best Machine Workmanship at the 2006 AQS Show and Contest in Paducah, KY.

Ricky maintains a busy teaching schedule in the U.S. as well as internationally. His two-day quilt seminars are a blend of entertainment, demonstrations for tradtional and contemporary quilters, and a display of his own quilts. He also presents Super Seminars with well-known guests such as Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman. He offers five-day guided study quilt retreats at his Art Quilt Studio and Gallery in La Veta, CO. Ricky’s latest venture is the Quilt Show, in partnership with Bernina. The first episode of this magazine-style Internet Quilt Show with co-host Alex Anderson airs April 2, 2007. Visit www.thequiltshow.com for more information about this upcoming show.
