Ed Begley Jr. Appeared Feb. 23 at the VDTA/SDTA 2011 Trade Show
Ed Begley Jr., star of TV, movies and theatre will appeared at the VDTA/SDTA Trade Show February 23, 2011. During this one day appearance Ed promoted his own brand of environmentally friendly cleaning products, Begley’s Best. When not on the demonstration stage, he was in the Bayes Cleaners booth #752 who exhibited the Begley’s Best products available for the independent dealer. Bayes Cleaners was one of many exhibitors in the new section of the exhibit hall, the Green Clean $cene. DETAILS

Racine Industries again offered a shortened version of their HOST School Carpet Cleaning College. The program provided dealers with all the knowledge they needed to understand carpet and carpet care. It also instructed dealers on how to get the most from the HOST Dry Extraction Carpet Cleaning System.

LoveQuilt™ Connection Teacher Certification Class
The LoveQuilt™ Connection was offered as a Teacher Certification Class on February 24 & 25, 2011, during the 2011 VDTA/SDTA Trade Show & Convention in Las Vegas. The class was set up in the exhibit hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The mission of the class was to help independent dealers start a program to encourage customers, educators and sales people to combine their knowledge of sergers and quilting with classes and community service. The Sewing Machine Project Showcased at 2011 VDTA/SDTA Convention

The Sewing Machine Project provides sewing machines to women who have lost theirs in a natural disaster or do not have the means to acquire one. The Sewing Machine Project has delivered over 700 machines to the Gulf Coast region since Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, machines have gone to Sri Lanka, Kosovo, Mexico, Liberia and most recently, Haiti. Overall, the SMP has collected and distributed over 900 machines.The Sewing Machine Project and SeaHope Partners exhibited at the Convention in February. DETAILS
