Ronald K. Brown
Mister Sew-Vac
1965 -

Ronald Brown was born and raised in Pitman, New Jersey. While in high school in 1982, he began working part-time for Mister Sew-Vac. He graduated from Pitman High School in 1983 and increased his work hours to full time. He went on to attend Gloucester County College and graduated with an associate’s degree in applied science in digital electronics in 1985 and earned his associate’s degree in business administration in 1987. Upon the original owner’s passing in 1988, Ronald became the working partner in the business. In 1995, he and his partner purchased a commercial property and opened Audubon Vac & Sew. Then in 1998, the partnership split. Ronald became the sole owner of Mister Sew-Vac and his partner took full control and ownership of Audubon Vac & Sew. In 2001, Ronald purchased a new building, expanding his store size from 2,000 square feet to 5,600. He also renovated this new building so he could offer the best possible store environment for his customers. Ronald is a charter member of the VDTA and has earned various certifications through the association.

Ronald is known by many as someone who gives willingly of his time and resources. He has performed countless good deeds anonymously, with never any thought of recognition or reward. He has helped many people in need and is a strong contributor within his community. He is a life member of the Highland Chemical Volunteer Fire Company, head usher at Pitman United Methodist Church, founding member and past president of his local Chamber of Commerce, and head of various committees for the Kiwanis Club. Ronald is also well known for assisting many new dealers as well as established dealers within the industry by providing them with marketing ideas, technical advice, and answers to questions. He also works very hard at maintaining a good relationship with his customers. He runs his business honestly and truly cares about his customers and his employees. He is one leader in the industry who is extremely dedicated.

Ronald married his wife Donna in August of 1994. She is proud to have worked closely with him throughout the years and witness Ronald’s passion for his career firsthand.
