Advanced Vapor Technologies, LLC
Beginning in June of 1989, with the initial introduction of the European Steam Vapor Systems to the United States, the company started on a very small scale. Much energy and money was, and still is, directed toward educating the market place as to the capabilities and efficacy of a steam vapor system for use both in the home and on a commercial level. The early distribution was very localized and was directed to both the consumer market and light commercial user. With the growth of the market and the introduction of larger and more sophisticated product, the distribution grew to cover most of the western states. Due to this growth and the addition of a wider line of steam vapor products, the company was reorganized as Advanced Vapor Technologies, under a Limited Liability Corporation in 1997. At the same time, the company moved to larger facilities located in Edmonds, WA.
In an effort to provide its varied types of distribution with product suitable for its individual markets, the company researched a variety of manufacturers, and now imports from several different manufacturers who manufacture products to AVT specifications. AVT was the first to introduce the “no wait” water refill concept or “continuous steam” vapor system to the U.S. market, and continues to invest in product improvements to enhance the efficiency, ease of use, and efficacy of the steam vapor system.
Distribution of product is done through independent retailers, independent representatives, dealers and distributors, Catalog sales companies, and in the case of residential product, also through independent Internet re-sellers. Distribution now covers most of the United States and Canada. Future plans include distribution to Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
In December of 2004, AVT introduced a unique and proprietary component to the steam vapor system. This component provides the system user with the capability and efficacy to clean and disinfect a surface simultaneously, using only tap water of municipal quality. This addition, called TANCSTM , is an acronym for Thermal Accelerated Nano Crystal Sanitation. This component enhances the anti-microbial nature of AVT systems, and provides the user with a wider scope of use in the healthcare, hospitality, building service, food service, and food processing market sectors. Using tap water as a disinfectant has many advantages when compared to the chemically based disinfectant. AVT Systems which have the TANCS component installed, are qualified as a Disinfection Device, and carry the EPA Assigned Establishment Number as required by the U.S. EPA.
In addition to handling OEM product, AVT also provides complete parts and service departments as well as offering training and support to end users and re-sellers. AVT is a member of the International Executive Housekeeping Associations, Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration, American Society of Healthcare Environmental Services, International Sanitary Supply Association, and is a participating contributor to the National Institute of Health for asthma/allergy studies. AVT is also a participating Sponsor of the Green Seal Cleaning Service Standard now being developed.
